The uncomfortable truth about metrics that separates winners from everyone else
One of my favorite things is watching people who have deep expertise and translate it into another field.
I have a friend of mine who played professional sports. When he started, he always felt ashamed watching the game replays. He knew every little move would get criticized.
With time, he realized this was the pathway to him winning. He came to look forward to this. He know that corrections to even the smallest thing could make or throw the game.
But it wasn’t just watching the replays.

- the bookkeeper
- the salesperson
- the production staff
